This unique and popular class (for children enrolled in one of our 3-day four year-old or Pre-K classes) meets on Thursday and Friday, with morning or afternoon sessions available. The children will investigate, discover, question, and explore science and social studies. They learn about the world around them and the people and creatures that share our planet. They work on crafts, perform experiments, and even practice yoga! The children learn about new topics through in-class lessons and exciting field trips!
Some topics past Enrichment classes have covered include: systems of the body, communities, Native American culture, the solar system, sea life, and recycling. Often class art projects utilize recycled household items to demonstrate fun ways to reduce our environmental impact. Field trips have included visits to Lunken Airport to learn about aviation, a local fire station to learn about our community workers, the butterfly show at Krohn Conservatory while studying the life cycle of butterflies, a nature walk at California Woods, and the Drake Planetarium to explore the solar system.
No other 5-day class can compare to our 3-day plus 2-day Enrichment program!
